Are you kidding me?

Last weekend, Dustin and I bought the mattress for Aiden's crib....how cute it looks, even though there is no bedding on it yet!

But then...... I talked to Dustin's mom Sunday and she mentioned that dad has been asking if our crib got recalled and I told her not that I am aware of, but I will be sure to look it up soon. So, Monday after school I finally went to look up if there was a recall, and there happen to be one on some of the same brand of crib as the one we bought. But the pictures they were showing were not of the one we had, so I didn't think anything of it! Then....I open my email and there is an email from Babies R' Us, letting me know there was a recall on the crib we had purchased with directions as to what to do. Are you kidding me? Seriously? Why are they recalling the crib that we love?

The recall stated:

ENTRAPMENT AND STRANGULATION HAZARD
Wooden crib slats can break, creating a gap, which can pose an entrapment and strangulation hazard to infants and toddlers.

So now....we have to send them some of the hardware as to ensure that it will not be used and then they will send us a voucher within 1-2 weeks of them receiving the package from us to purchase another crib. As much of a pain this is going to be it is defiantly better finding out now before he sleep in it. The huge pain now is hopefully finding another crib to match the dresser that we have. We love the dresser because it is not one of those smaller ones, it's a full size dresser and can fit lots of stuff.

What a pain! Now we are on the hunt to see if we can find another crib that we like, I am sure we will find one it's still annoying though!

Oh yea....you can see the wall is red now! I will post more on that later....
