Another Tradition

I forgot to share our new ornament for this year. Every year we get a new ornament for the tree, it usually has the year on it. Well this year's ornament had a special meaning...it represented our little boy. His footprint on the ornament is when he was two weeks old.We are also starting a new tradition, Aiden will get a new ornament also every year. We plan on getting him a small tree of his own next year to put in his room with all his special ornaments as he grows older each year. This year his ornament represented his first Christmas.

5 months

Aiden turned five months old the day after Christmas. It is truly amazing how fast time goes by because a year ago yesterday (27th) we found out about the little guy and now today he is here with us. We can not imagine our lives without him, in fact I don't really remember our lives before him. He is our world and we are enjoying every moment with him. Some fun facts about Aiden this month:
*He rolled over from his back to his tummy on December 13th, and then Dustin saw him roll all the way over on the 16th. We find him all over the living room rug...he always finds a way off of his blanket we lay down.
*He is still eating solids, and since last month we have started him on vegetables (green beans and peas).
*He weighs 13 pounds 12 ounces.
*He loves to laugh at Daddy and has the most adorable smile.
*He is discovering his voice and it's fun to listen to him talk.
*He loves to sit in his Bumbo and soon will probably be sitting on his own.
*He now sleeps in his own room at night (December 13th was his first night).
*He continues to be an awesome sleeper and still sleeps through the night.
*He loves to kick his legs, and is constantly moving them.

Christmas Happenings

Aiden's first Christmas present...wonder what it is?
New Christmas Eve jammies of course...since last year Dustin and I wanted to start a few traditions before little ones came along this way we could have them when they were here....so we started the tradition of getting new jammies every Christmas Eve!

We also started another tradition where we would read The Polar Express on Christmas Eve before bed and then watch the movie. I love the story, a Christmas favorite.
Aiden got a jumper from Nana and Pappy, and he loves it! He gets so excited when he plays in it.

Christmas morning...what's in that stocking dad?

Aiden's Santa gift!
Thanks Aunt Stephanie for the fun mirror. This will be helpful with entertaining while in the car.
The best attempt of a family picture with the two dogs and Aiden.

Aiden scored big this Christmas, and didn't even have a clue what was going on!
Thank you everyone for all our wonderful gifts! We love each one of them and are thankful to have you in our lives.

To: Daddy Love: Aiden

Aiden and I made this special gift just for Daddy. Its a 12 x12 layout we made on the computer with pretty close to every picture of the two of them together since the day Aiden was born. We bought a frame for it and can't wait for Daddy to see it!

Aiden's Christmas pictures

Merry Christmas everyone!

It's Christmas time!

I love this time of year...the goodies, decorations, music, wrapping gifts for others, and the shopping of course! This year Christmas will have an extra special meaning because we have Aiden to share in all the fun. Last Christmas we found out we were pregnant and now our little one is here! Even though he really will have no idea what is going on, it is very special to share such a wonderful holiday with him no matter how old he is.First Christmas ornament!
First Christmas cards!
My mom and I took him to see Santa last week. He really had no clue what was going on, plus he had just woken up from a nap.
