Zion National Park

This weekend we took our first family road trip. We drove up to Zion National Park in Utah. It is about a three hour drive from Las Vegas. We went up with the Robinsons. We woke up super early, dropped the dogs off at my parents house, and meet up at the Robinson's house at 5:30am.
The drive was not bad at all....Aiden slept the whole way there!

Aiden also slept during the whole hike!
We decided to do the hike to the Narrows (it's a hike where you have to walk through the river). The hike before you got to the water was about one mile. The scenery is just beautiful up there!

This is the beginning of the Narrows...see the people down in the water. This was going to be our stop, we were not going to hike through the water with the baby and we didn't have the proper attire. BUT...Dustin was too excited and said lets try some of it. So we took our shoes and socks off and we walked through the freezing river water. The water was so cold, I thought my feet were frozen!
Aiden is still sleeping!
We only hiked through a little bit of the water. We reached a point that was going to be way too deep for us. It was up to Greg's waist (we had him go check it out before we all trucked through it). Heather and Stephanie got a bit nervous about it, so Andrea and Greg went ahead and the five of us hiked back. We went to the museum, ate our lunches, and then took a trail back to the visitor center.

We had a wonderful time, had great company, and I am sure that we will go back again. Oh...Aiden did finalyl wake up and was awake the whole drive home. We were exhausted once we got home....next time we will get a room and stay the night.
